The TV personalities, who hooked up at their mutual friend Scheana Shay’s wedding in August, stirred dating rumors after their little fling went public.

Speaking to UsWeekly, an insider shared an update on their relationship status. According to the source, since hooking up, the Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz, and Raquel Leviss have gone their separate ways and were not dating. Notwithstanding, they remain close friends, hanging out in the same circle. The source also confirmed that the two did have some chemistry going on between them, saying:

“They’re just friends but have certainly gotten much closer since Tom and Katie split. They have a great connection and the chemistry is there.”

While dating each other may not be in the books, Tom and Raquel kept their options open. The source revealed the 28-year-old has been going on more dates in hopes of finding a new partner. Meanwhile, Tom has stayed off the dating pool since his divorce from his partner of 10 years, Katie Moloney, in March 2022. He turned his focus instead to projects like his new restaurant while leaning on his friends for support.

Raquel also experienced her own heartbreak, having split from James Kennedy in December 2021, ultimately ending their 7 months engagement. Having recently undergone similar emotional upheavals, the duo have since found common grounds. The 40-year-old Minnesota native previously confirmed his connection to Raquel, saying they had a “really solid, deep friendship.”

Going further, he admitted their respective breakups brought them together, marking the onset of their platonic relationship. On her part, Raquel admittedly had no regret about hooking up with Tom. Meanwhile, their exes have also forged ahead in the relationship department, with Katie dating actor Satchel Clendenin, while James geared off his romance with Ally Lewber.
