Nintendo has been taking the new year in stride with only a little trickle of new game info. Though, they have been supporting Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s life span the most. As is tradition with all DLC fighters, a showcase of their abilities is commonplace. With it being just a few months since the release of Sephiroth, fans have been waiting to hear more on Super Smash Bros Ultimate. With the announcement of a new fighter having just debuted a few weeks ago, fans have been clamoring for new info. With tons of new info to explore from the Xenoblade Chronicles world, the new character additions add new lore to Smash Ultimate. Once again, series director Masahiro Sakurai hosted a new presentation showing off the new fighters, Pyra and Mythra. Taking a deep look at the new abilities, fans were shown how and when they could play the new DLC addition.
Taking a step back from the production, Mr. Sakurai once again greets fans in his home. Lamenting his lonely filming situations, Sakurai pressed on and discussed the new details. Showing off the two in one aspect of Pyra and Mythra, the newest fighter, really does bring a lot to Smash Ultimate. For starters, each character has their own unique playstyle and power attribution. Pyra focusing on power and Mythra with speed really gives a good advantage. Even their specials deviate from their respective focus, with the utilization of both being extra key. The new music being added to Smash is also a great selection of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 music. With 16 new tracks total, the fighter pass DLC especially bolstered the representation in the soundtrack department. Aside from that, there are also a few new Mii fighter outfits. From Capcoms Monster Hunter to Ghost and Goblins, there are only 4 new additions. Wrapping up the presentation was, of course, a release date which is primed for later today. With a new update coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the new patch will also make Pyra and Mythra available to play.
