In a not-so-surprising turn of events, the infamous star of Vanderpump Rules, Rachel Leviss, is taking to the podcast world to tell her side of the story. Rachel was thrust into the pop culture spotlight when her affair with her costar, Tom Sandoval, was discovered last spring. The whole #Scandoval ordeal, made national news, causing Rachel, formerly Raquel, to become one of the most hated reality stars in history. The attention was so intense, she dropped out of the cultural conversation and entered into a treatment facility to work on her mental health.
After almost a year of unrelenting public scrutiny Rachel is back in the upcoming Rachel Goes Rogue. According to a press release issued by the podcast production company iHeartMedia, the podcast will take on topics like “mastering self-empowerment and navigating life’s challenges with grace and authenticity.”
Rachel Leviss’ Podcast Promises Not To Hold Back
The podcast is co-produced by iHeart Radio and former Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel, who has been an ally to her in the aftermath of the scandal. Rachel’s podcast promises to feature frank conversations about Rachel’s mental health, her onscreen dating decisions, and similarly to Bettheny’s latest professional choices, breaking the fourth wall of reality TV.
Fans Are Having Some Feelings About Rachel Leviss’ Podcast
As expected, fans and haters alike, are having some fairly strong opinions about this latest development in a scandal we thought had run its course. The commenters are not holding back, and the reactions run the gamut of downright hateful to completely bizarre.
The response to Rachel’s announcement, in which she promises to tell her “side of the story” is quite polarizing. While some fans can’t wait to get more juicy insights into one of the most infamous fights in reality television, others are tired of it altogether. Some fans come to the comment section urging Rachel to distance herself from Vanderpump Rules and #Scandolval and just get her own life.
If Rachel’s revelations on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast earlier are any indication, the former reality star still has a story to tell. While her appearance on that podcast was polarizing at best and hateful at worst, it garnered a lot of clicks and downloads. The new podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, will premier on iHeart Radio on January 8th.
