Unfortunately, since Trump became the president, the racism toward Hispanic people has only increased. Usually, videos showing racist incidents include White people as the ones who are targeting Hispanic individuals. This wasn’t the case on a train in New York. Someone on the train filmed two women sitting in front of them as a confrontation was happening. One of the two was a Black woman, and she was being extremely racist to the woman sitting next to her, who was Hispanic.
The Black woman started saying, “Hispanic [expletive] people don’t deserve nothing in America.” She then looked at the innocent passenger and yelled “Nothing [expletive]. You don’t deserve to sit around me [expletive].” All of this was happening while the Hispanic woman was minding her business and simply looking at her phone.
The Black New York woman continued her racist rant as she said next, “you don’t deserve nothing out of this [expletive].” She then invaded her personal space as she moved her head right next to hers and yelled at her to get up. She was acting as if the Hispanic passenger were worthless. This terrible situation didn’t stop at these insults. The Black woman then started pulling her by her bag handle and jacket and made her stand up, refusing to let her sit down next to her. “Get up [expletive],” she said. “Now you stand up [expletive],” she continued as she looked at the poor woman who was now standing up. Her rant continued as she told the Hispanic woman that she isn’t in her country but in America. So does this allow her to treat her like this?
People Reacting to the Black New York Woman’s Racist Rant
The majority of people didn’t like how racist the Black New York woman was. Since it was an unfortunate situation to see, one person wrote, “This is truly sad to watch this behavior.” Others questioned why no one helped the Hispanic woman who was helpless in this situation as someone said, “No one defended her.” Another person asked, “Why didn’t anyone intervene??” This was when one person responded, “Because everyone is a coward.” When someone tried to blame the Hispanic woman for not defending herself, a TikTok user told them, “Does it look like she understands her language? Also even if she did that woman seems aggressive I’m pretty sure the lady didn’t want to be charged with assault charges.” They have got a point.
Unfortunately, while the New York woman’s behavior was unacceptable, many people decided to be racist as well because she was Black. “They want equality then they treat people like that?” one woman asked. Another person said, “This is America not Africa.” Someone else commented on how the woman kicked the Hispanic passenger out of her seat as they asked, “Does she know about Rosa parks ?” Even Black people didn’t agree with what she did. “As a black woman this irritates me,” one comment read. One person even wrote in disbelief, “Seeing people who also face discrimination, discriminating against another person is just wild to me. I don’t get it at all.” Such a situation shouldn’t be happening.
