What started as a random noise nuisance at a California parking lot turned into a racist meltdown, as a man repeatedly used a racial slur against a Black man who confronted him over his unhinged behavior.
The clip was shared by Robbie Harvey on TikTok. According to the man who shared the video with Harvey, the incident started after he began hearing someone honking the horn of their vehicle. Thinking something was wrong, he went to check on that person. However, somehow, things escalated to a full-on racist tirade.
“Listen, you’re blowing your horn…,” the man recording the video said before he was interrupted by the driver, who chose to, once again, honk his horn. “Yeah! You see me? Give me your phone, give me your phone,” the troubled driver said.
The Black man tried to reason with the driver, who appeared to be intoxicated, according to many users online. He explained that many people in the building were sleeping. However, the racist driver started using racial slurs liberally.
“What are you? A [racial slur]?” the driver asked, leaving the man speechless. The racist fellow then asked the Black man if he lived there, continued to ask for the man’s phone, and started slurring his words. He called the man the racial slur again when asked.
“Listen, why are you blowing your horn?” the man asked. The driver, stumbling in his speech, answered intelligibly before asking why he was calling the building’s service. Again, he asked if the Black man lived there.
“You do? What’s your apartment number, huh?” the racist, nosey man asked. He then called him a “brokey” and told him to “go [expletive] yourself,” before saying the word, again.
Backlash, Reactions
The racist California man was bashed online by users reacting to the video. For most of them, he is just a symptom of the current social status of the United States.
“America is NOT OK. Spiraling faster and faster! Good on them for exposing their true colors. Still exhausting,” one user commented. Another one wrote, “Wow this country has become so hateful. Other countries laugh at the US and created the stereotype of being hateful and looks like rightfully so.” A third one said, “400 years of oppressive slavery and in 2025 people STILL use such a word! That word is SO offensive to me and I’m not even black!“
It looks like the California man will soon learn the meaning of the word “consequences.”
