A Virginia woman says she had a shocking interaction with a manager of a grocery store online. The confrontation led to him calling her a racist slur, so she decided to do something about it. But when she showed up in person, he had very little to say.
Kiair (@prettybrwnkii) claims that she had a racist online interaction with a manager at a Lynchburg, Virginia, Food Lion. She didn’t say what led to the name-calling; however, the manager allegedly called her the “N-word” in her Facebook inbox. She decided to get in her car and drive to the Memorial Avenue location so she could confront the manager himself.
In Kiair’s video, she walks up to the manager (Tim) and asks if he’s the one who called her the slur on “Facebook yesterday.” When she asks him again if he was the one, putting her phone in his face, he doesn’t say anything at first. When she continues on about it, he tells her simply, “Let’s step outside.” Kiair exclaims, “No, we cannot step outside!”
The manager continues to gesture for her to follow him rather than make a scene inside the store. He continues telling her, “Let’s step outside.” And Kiair keeps on replying, “Nope.” When he won’t answer her if he’s the one who said it, he looks visibly agitated. He tells her, “Let’s step outside or I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” When she says she isn’t leaving, he looks to another employee. He tells them, “Call the police.”
Unfortunately, Kiair didn’t have an update video showing what happened after the initial confrontation. However, commenters had plenty to say about the video, which continues to draw views after her posting. Various commenters called for Kiair to “expose the location” where he works. Another local TikToker recognized him and stated, “He used to be a police officer.” Kiair confirmed this information, to which they stated, “Hollering abt calling the police.” Then, Kiair replied, “Calling the police because he’s racist is insane.”
Other commenters came to Kiair’s side to support her after the confrontation. One stated, “This is ridiculous!!” Commenters continue to watch the dramatic situation unfold, wondering how this situation started and what happened next. It’s unclear what happened to the manager and how Food Lion itself handled the situation. It’s possible Kiair will have an update and won’t leave her viewers hanging.
