A woman in Pasco, Washington, was returning with her father to his home when they suddenly noticed a fire in the distance. She started recording the event, but as they came closer to it, the woman realized that it was her father’s home that had been engulfed in flames.
Alexis Garza, the woman, shared the clip on TikTok. She is a stay-at-home mother of four who often uploads family content online. The clip attached above became her biggest one to date, garnering 5.9 million views, 806,800 likes, and more than 2,400 comments.
In a follow-up, the Washington woman provided some context to what had occurred. Before the fiery incident, Alexis’ father took her to Lowe’s to pick up a stove. The item was not ready at the time, so they had to wait for it to be brought down with a forklift and loaded onto the truck.
Finally, with the loaded stove, father and daughter began their trip back home. In the distance, however, they both spotted black smoke caused by a fire. That’s when Alexis started to record her video. Soon after, she told her father she believed that the fire was happening in his neighborhood.
House Fire
The closer they got, the sooner they realized that the fire had engulfed the man’s home. Once they got to the last corner, their fears were confirmed. Both exited the vehicle and witnessed an inferno consuming the man’s garage.
“What happened!?” Alexis screamed as a firetruck’s horn could be heard from the other side of the street. “It’s my dad’s house!“
In the clip’s description, Alexis detailed that her uncle Roy was in the backyard shortly before the incident took place.
“[…] He heard an explosion. When he opened the garage door, flames and smoke rushed toward him, and he was able to get out before another explosion,” the Washington woman said.

In a GoFundMe, Alexis detailed that her father and uncle lost everything in the fire. Fortunately, neither of them was unharmed, and now their community is rallying behind them to support them through such a difficult time.
