A parade such as the Mardi Gras is supposed to bring people together as they enjoy the celebrations. This didn’t happen in Louisiana when the parade was there recently. A video showed how an argument broke out between a White family and a Black family. Apparently, the argument was about the spot the Black family was standing in. Instead of solving this peacefully, the White family, which had several adults, started attacking the Black family, which included a grandmother and several kids as the majority. The video showed a woman from the family telling the others, “Y’all can get the [expletive].” She said this even though there were kids there.
The Louisiana White woman, who was in a green shirt, was then filmed shouting at an elderly grandmother from the Black family. It then appeared that the White woman pushed someone and then proceeded to throw her beer at the old woman. That is just shameful. A part of the video even showed the grandmother’s t-shirt drenched because of the liquid. Since the video was filmed by a 10-year-old boy from the Black family, the rest of the argument wasn’t caught on camera.
The Louisiana Black grandmother’s granddaughter was quite upset when she was informed of what happened. That’s why she posted the video on social media to try and identify the White family which she described as “racist” and “animals.” She even wrote in her caption what exactly happened:
“Does anybody know this racist white family that was at the parade today?? Because I really want to know who raised these animals to get in an elderly woman’s face, telling her she ‘didn’t belong there’ and needed to back the [expletive] up — along with her great grandkids. They were antagonizing my grandmother and my nieces and nephews, threw beer on her, laughed in her face, and were absolutely nasty and disrespectful. It got so bad that my 4-year-old niece was trying to push them away from my grandmother because they wouldn’t leave her alone. Is this really how they treat the elderly and CHILDREN?? Disgusting‼! And yes — I’m mad as hell.”
This should have never happened. Thankfully, there were some consequences for their actions. The White woman who threw the beer ended up turning herself in to the police. “The Shreveport Police Department obtained arrest warrants for Georgie Creamer in connection to an altercation that took place at the Krewe of Centaur parade on Feb. 7, 2026, around 4 p.m. on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway,” KSLA News 12 reported. They also added that the Black grandmother wasn’t the only victim. Apparently, the White Louisiana woman was “using loud and profane language in a public area and throwing a cup containing liquid that struck the victim and a small child.” What she did was labeled under “disturbing the peace and simple battery.” Hopefully, the grandmother and kids are okay.
People Reacting to the Racist Louisiana White Family Attacking the Black Grandmother
People were left furious after they learned what the White Louisiana family did to the elderly woman. “This is sick. My stomach was turning watching this‼!” one person wrote. One person also expressed, “it’s crazy how blk pple will literally walk by and do nothing to help each other but will run to help white pple.” This made the granddaughter respond, “Right! Had me or any of my family of age been there. [Expletive] would’ve went down in a major way!” Someone else thought differently as they replied, “How about DEESCALATE the situation ?? It looked like the one lady had been drinking too much, and her family was trying to pull her back. Also, is race the only thing you see, when looking at someone? That’s a very sad way to live.”
More people were convinced that the situation in Louisiana had to do with racism. “This is ridiculous‼! I wish I would have Been there to stand up for this lady , the racism is on full display and will not be tolerated,” one person wrote. Others left a lot of comments that focused on how sad the situation was. “The baby crying just hurt my heart,” was one comment. The children shouldn’t have witnessed this happening to their grandmother. A White woman couldn’t help but apologize. “I’m so sorry I hate when I see stuff like this an I just pray that you don’t think we’re all horrible,” she wrote. Not all people are racist. Those who are will always face consequences.
