Rage 2 has been receiving a plethora of hype this past year. With less than a week left, Bethesda and Avalanche Studios has released one final trailer for their upcoming, over the top first person shooter.
The launch trailer shown gave an insight on Walker (main protagonist) commentating on his life story and what he would have to go through in order to fight the final boss, General Cross. Instead of showing a series of events leading up to the big baddie the trailer started in reverse. Walker talked the whole way through on every key detail or radical moment.
Walker continued to talk as he mentioned meeting some charismatic characters along the way. A death race or two by racers shooting and blowing vehicles out of the sky. Also some sweet powers such as slamming down on the ground and decapitating anyone around the radius. Some footage of throwing axes and slice off limbs of all the crazy, bandit lunatics.
The trailer even goes back further than it should have gone by showing the E3 show of Rage 2. Then even made a satirical jab at a guy writing a bad review to the developers about Rage’s crumby ending. Eventually, the trailer rewound all the way back to the beginning of time and finally showed the ‘A’ logo as Walker whispering, “sick.”
From previous Rage 2 trailers announced the player doesn’t need to play the original Rage to know exactly what happens in the next installment. Bethesda studios created a whole new world and storyline. Rage 2 comes out May 14th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Pre-ordering can still be made to obtain special, in-game loot such as ‘Cult of the Death God’ Mission, Mutant Monster Truck skin, Settler Pistol, and Nicolas Raine Armor.
