Ramona Singer and Eboni K. Williams have been in the news over racism-related issues, which occurred on RHONY season 13. Recall that in season 13, Williams became the first woman of color to appear on the reality TV show. Recently, the 40-year-old claimed she almost exited the show over racism from Singer, who criticized her for RHONY’s low ratings. What’s more, an expose revealed that Singer also used a racial slur while talking to a Black crew member on the RHONY set. Amid the revelations, Ramona Singer has said she’s not racist, adding that she always liked her co-star, Williams.

It appears things didn’t go down well between Ramona Singer and Eboni Williams on RHONY season 13. A few days ago, the lawyer had an interview with Vanity Fair, where she detailed what allegedly happened while she was on the show. Williams claimed that Singer was racist toward her, which made her nearly quit the show. However, after discussing with the production team, Williams said she changed her mind. The reality TV star further noted that RHONY‘s issues with racism began before filming that season. She explained that before filming, the series’ cast participated in a virtual education session. The meeting centered on race and what types of commentary to avoid on camera.
Williams said one of such things the session said to avoid saying was the racist trope that Black fathers aren’t present for their children. However, Singer allegedly responded, “What if they don’t have a father? Why can’t I say that? Most of them don’t.” Williams further claimed that the show’s publicist argued with Singer, but the latter maintained that she read a study that confirmed most Black kids didn’t have fathers. In the same season, Singer, who later exited RHONY, also allegedly told a Black crew member that there were many of them there. In addition, The TV host allegedly said they shouldn’t change their hairstyles, as she couldn’t remember anyone’s name.
Ramona Singer Denies the Allegations
Amid all the allegations, Ramona Singer has insisted she’s not racist. A source close to the star told TMZ that Singer was upset about being entangled in claims of racism and bigotry. According to the insider, Singer believed the affair had been blown out of proportion. They noted that the RHONY star never used racial slurs during season 13. The source also told the outlet Singer always liked Williams and wished her nothing but the best. Meanwhile, Bravo has pulled Singer from the upcoming BravoCon in Las Vegas.
