Despite the various allegations that Subway has been a part of over the last two decades, I still very much like the restaurant. I enjoy that you can quite literally create your own sandwich while the employees make it in front of you. With a business model like that, nothing can possibly go wrong! Well, a woman in Randleman, North Carolina, was filmed berating Subway workers after they had finished making her sandwich for allegedly making it wrong.
In the above video, you can see the Karen walk away from the point of sale with her food. However, she doesn’t seem happy as she continues to make whispered comments about her interaction with the employee who made her sandwich. Just before she walks out the front door, she turns around to make another louder comment, which prompts the employee to yell across the restaurant at her, asking her to leave. It’s unclear if something more happened besides the employee allegedly making the sandwich wrong, but both parties were incredibly upset.
Eventually, another customer in Subway begins to tell the woman to leave the store. The Karen is not very happy about this interruption, and the argument begins between her and the man. Plenty of comments on the video criticize the woman’s actions, especially considering that at this specific restaurant, you watch the employee make the meal to your specifications.
“I don’t understand how a dispute can occur in a subway. You’re in the mix telling them what to put on your sandwich.
If it’s wrong you are part of the reason.”
When the video ends, the Karen walks out of the restaurant with her tail tucked between her legs. Hopefully, that’s the last time she decides to humiliate herself at a restaurant publicly. However, something tells me that we’ll be seeing more of her very soon.
