Earlier today, a video involving Atlanta-based rapper Destroy Lonely was shared to social media platforms and is currently circulating across the internet. In it, we see a heated argument take place between the 23-year-old hip hop singer-songwriter and his girlfriend at a Shell gas station at the Baltimore/Washington international airport. Someone at the scene recorded the footage from their car, and the clip has been shared to Reddit for all to see.
Said clip opens from the perspective of the cameraman’s car and takes place in a Shell gas station. The man recording describes the scene: “Bro, I’m at the gas station. This n**** beating up his girl.” Outside, you can clearly see Destroy Lonely — known as Bobby Wardell Sandimanie III at birth — pacing around the gas station looking very distressed and irate.
While it’s hard to make out what’s being said, there’s a lot of shouting occurring outside of the car. It also appears like his girlfriend has locked themselves in the car for safety reasons and the rapper is trying to force his way into the locked vehicle. There’s even the sound of screeching tyres, though the camera is being held discreetly so it’s difficult to decipher what’s happening.
Shortly later, you can hear Destroy Lonely pleading with his girlfriend: “Open the door, Bro! Open the door!” as he stands next to his black 4×4 vehicle staring into the window. The cameraman explains, “His girl locked him out.”
The heated altercation continues, with the rapper yelling: “I hate you! F*** you. F*** you, Bro.” Moments later, a police officer arrives on the scene, and Destroy Lonely shouts at the officer: “I ain’t used s***, Bro. I didn’t do nothing.” The approaching officer requests that the rapper, “Get down. Get your a** on the ground. Sit your a** down.”
To this, the rapper responds, “I’m sitting down,” though the singer-songwriter is actually leaning on a refuse bin. “Get your a** on the floor!” asks the police officer. The video then ends there, though it’s now known that the rapper was arrested at the scene.
As the clip is currently making the rounds across the internet, commenters started to flood the post with their reactions to the video footage. Many netizens criticised the rapper’s aggressive behavior, with one commenter writing:

For those unfamiliar with the singer, Destroy Lonely is an American rapper based in Atlanta, Georgia. He won both of Spotify’s All-RapCaviar MVP and Rookie of the Year trophies alongside Drake last year. His latest album Love Lasts Forever reached number 10 in the US billboard charts.
However, the rapper has also been embroiled in many abuse allegations over the years. Last year, for example, he was arrested on battery charges, and earlier this year, his ex-girlfriend accused him of physical and mental abuse. Furthermore, Destroy Lonely’s ex-girlfriend also shared shocking images of his physical abuse, which involved her cracking her head open in Germany after being pushed into a bed frame.
