Rashid of the turbulent winds is making his way onto Street Fighter 6 with a new gameplay trailer from Capcom. The trailer shows off the returning character’s new moves and abilities. Rashid was previously a playable character in Street Fighter 5 and has now become an avid streamer and vlogger in the Street Fighter universe. Rashid joins the fray on July 24 and will cost 250 fighter coins for anyone buying the new character. But if you bought the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, or the Season 1 pass, you will get Rashid on launch day for free.

The trailer shows off Rashid’s flashy new design, which looks amazing in motion. His clothes and hair trail behind his acrobatic movements – something the developers are especially proud of. All of his special moves like the Spinning Mixer and Whirlwind Shot are back, along with some new ones. The newest additions, apart from his three sandy supers, are the Arabian Cyclone and the ability to double jump in the air, which was previously a V-Skill in Street Fighter 5.

Along with the addition of Rashid in the game, players will have the opportunity to collect multiple Rashid-themed items before his release date of July 24. The cosmetic items can be used on your custom characters and can be shown off in the Battle Hub or the World Tour mode.

If you aren’t one of the people who got the Deluxe/Ultimate Editions or the Season 1 pass, you still have options. If you’re still on the fence about whether you should buy Rashid in Street Fighter 6 or not, you can rent him in the game for 1 hour and try him out. And if you like how he plays, then you can grab him by getting the season pass or the 250 Fighting Tickets.

Capcom has already confirmed the characters coming to Street Fighter 6 Season 1 after Rashid. They include the psycho power user Ed, the poison user A.K.I, and the legendary Akuma. All of these will release within the next 9 months, with Akuma being planned for summer 2024.
