Star Wars fans rejoice. Not only can you now look like Boba Fett, you’ll actually be bulletproof too. The Galac-Tac project comes from contributions of various companies such as SOG Knives, TEA Headsets, Team Wendy and Surefire. The armor was designed by Ryan Flowers and the base model is currently priced at $325 according to his website. Be sure to read the fine print if you happen to be interested, a 50 % deposit is required to secure your armor and there will only be a limited run for orders. Mr. Flowers had this to say about Galac-Tac
“Galac-Tac is a culmination of my love for all things science fiction and tactical apparel and armor. My goal was to combine these two passions into a futuristic yet functional battle armor and helmet hybrid.”
Heckler and Koch a popular gun manufacturer also had a hand in making the armor a reality. Exact specifications and details for the armor have yet to be released but it should stand up to handgun and rifle rounds. There is also no word yet on how it may or may not hold up in the Sarlacc Pit. Boba Fett’s popularity is on the rise again, with some hoping, he will again make an appearance in the Star Wars franchise. Those familiar with the expanded universe know that Boba Fett did indeed escape from the Sarlacc Pit from Return of the Jedi. Even if he doesn’t make an appearance in the new trilogy a standalone film is set to center around him with a 2020 release. You can check out the details here.
