There are various places in this world where you know that there’s the unspoken rule of respecting everyone on the premises. Believe it or not, ice skating arenas are among those places. These places tend to be family-friendly and invite various people of all ages and sizes. However, there will always be that one person who tries to ruin the day for those people. One NYC skater decided that the way he was going to do it was by spraying ice on random people he passed by. I wish more people used common sense when they went out in public.
In the above video, an ice skater in New York City stops his skates by sliding to a halt. However, this causes ice chips to spray in the direction of the stop, landing on a child. As the video progresses, he continues to spray various arena-goers by sliding near them. Some of the skaters found this amusing, while a large portion were pretty annoyed at the entire situation.
“You need to be banned from that rink bruh. The entitlement is unreal. Grow up.”
Eventually, he was forced to leave the arena and can be seen running away at the end of the video. If you look at the user’s other videos, you can see that this isn’t the first time he’s done this. There’s even a video of him spraying other skaters at The Rink at Rockefeller Center. Fortunately, the above video went viral enough to allow more people to see how mean some of his content can be.
Despite it being clear that the skater is excellent on the ice, it doesn’t mean that he couldn’t have fallen and severely injured one of the children he sprayed. If you watch closely, you can see just how much force he puts into his slide just to make a big enough spray. If he fell and a skate went flying… I don’t even want to imagine how different this story could have been.
