If you purchased Resident Evil 7 or Resident Evil 8 from the Razer Store in the past few days, chances are you got your hands on an invalid key. This is a big no-no coming from a giant in the video games industry. But Razer is willing to make amends with customers. Still, you have to go through some hoops.
Invalid Game Keys On the Razer Store- Resident Evil 7 and 8
A few days ago, Razer support took to the r/razer subreddit to address the invalid key debacle for Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8. Razer wrote an apology letter to customers.
Of course, customers had been outraged at the whole invalid game key debacle. Razer is currently reviewing its pricing policy to ensure that this problem doesn’t occur in the future. We hope that’s the case.
To make amends, Razer is going to ship out new keys to affected customers. But players might have to wait a solid week before they can get their hands on the video game key. Razer is planning to send these game keys out in batches.
To make things even more complicated, customers have to fill out a form by April 5, 2023, marking today as the last date to get their hands on a valid video game key.
In the event customers purchased multiple game keys, then you’d be reimbursed in the form of Razer Gold Pins for your subsequent transactions. While getting your hands on a mint game key sounds great, filling out a form, going through some leaps and bounds, and being reimbursed with in-store credit for multiple purchases is pretty low-barrel of Razer.
So, what are your thoughts on Razer sending out invalid keys for Resident Evil 7 and 8? Is this really the way to make amends, making customers go through another round of hassles?
