Comcept and Armature’s ReCore first caught our attention at Microsoft’s E3 2015 conference. The premiere trailer was just under four minutes, but it was still elusive enough to have us patiently waiting for more. Then earlier this year, more information surfaced about the game, and Microsoft confirmed that it would be coming to both Windows 10 and the Xbox One. We were given a more in-depth look at ReCore, along with some extended gameplay at Microsoft’s E3 2016 conference, and now after all this buildup, we are less than one week away from its anticipated release date.
At its core (pun intended) ReCore has you playing as a young woman named Joule, one of the last remaining humans on a planet that is being controlled by robots- ones that are very much looking forward to your destruction. It is up to you to develop friendships with the robot allies across the planet, all of which have their own “unique abilities and powers”. ReCore invites you to “lead this band of unlikely heroes on an epic adventure through a mysterious, dynamic world…you can’t save the world alone”.
Today Microsoft has revealed the game’s minimum and recommended PC requirements. You can check them out below.
Minimum System Requirements
•OS: Windows 10
•Memory: 8 GB
•Processor: Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70 GHz or AMD FX-6300
•Video Memory: 2 GB
•Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7
Recommended System Requirements
•OS: Windows 10
•Memory: 16 GB
•Processor: Intel Core i5 4590, 3.9 GHz or AMD Equivalent
•Video Memory: 4 GB
•Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9
Despite it being a AAA title, ReCore will retail at a surprising $40. Xbox marketing manager, Aaron Greenberg, attributes this lower price tag to the fact that this is a brand new franchise, and Microsoft needs to “earn gamers’ votes”. ReCore will be released on September 13 in North America, and September 16 in Europe.
