Redfall Bite Back Edition is a deluxe version of the game with a higher price tag. Players can have extra items and enjoy the additions by paying more $ for the game, while there’s also a Standard version of Redfall available to buy or grab from Xbox Game Pass. Here we’ll dive into all details and differences between the Deluxe Edition and Standard version of this game to see what players will achieve by buying each.
What Does Redfall Bite Back Edition Offer?
Many AAA games are using this exact pattern these days. By introducing two versions of a game, the developers give players a chance to have exclusive cosmetic items in exchange for a heftier price. We had Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s Vault Edition and the Deluxe Edition of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as a recent example. And now, it’s time for Redfall Bite Back Edition.
Redfall is the newest Xbox exclusive game, coming on Xbox Game Pass day 1, and it is available to buy right now. However, if you buy the Bite Back Edition, you’ll be rewarded with the following items:
- Redfall Hero Pass
- Throwback Outfit Pack
- Laser Beam Multi-Weapon Skin
- Tactical Knife Stake Weapon Attachment
Most of the items you get with buying the Redfall Bite Back Edition are all cosmetics, except for the Hero Pass. This is probably why many players choose to buy this upgrade, as it will contain valuable content. Players with the Redfall Hero Pass will get two additional characters later when they are added to the game. Now you can have this Hero Pass by purchasing the Black Bite Edition or by having the base game and buying the Black Bite upgrade.

Is Bite Back Edition Worth it? Answered
The two future heroes have a unique set of abilities. Hence they bring forth new gameplay. This gives Redfall Bite Back Edition a sense of replayability and is a real deal for those who want more out of this vampire story. However, you need to pay $99.99 to enjoy this addition, while the base game is only $69.99. You can also play the base game by joining Xbox Game Pass, while you can buy the Redfall Black Bite as a separate upgrade for $33.50.
After the purchase, you can download Redfall with its Deluxe Edition content for 77.30 GB on Xbox Series X|S and nearly 100 GB on PC. Remember that this game is unavailable on Xbox One, and you can only play it through cloud gaming to perform Redfall on this 8th Gen console.
Ultimately, whether the more expensive Back Back Edition is worth it will come down to personal preference. If you’re an avid fan of Arkane games typically and you love the vampire theme, it’s probably worth the money. That said, given Redfall’s critical reception has been shaky at best so far, for all but the biggest fans of the studio we’d suggest the normal edition might be the one to go for.
Redfall is currently available for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Epic Games.
