Update 1.01 for Redfall has arrived, and here are all the changes and improvements mentioned in the patch notes. If you were hoping that the latest update for Redfall was going to make your experience much better, you’ll be quite disappointed. Update 1.01 for Redfall barely brings any changes to some of the most prevalent issues in the game, only managing to fix some game crashes, a loading screen bug, and some backend server updates.
The launch of Redfall has been anything but smooth. The game was not only riddled with bugs and glitches, but the actual gameplay loop itself was janky at best. The world of Redfall was supposed to be filled with terrifying vampires with dangers at every corner. But what fans got was far from it. The vampires in question barely rival the intelligence of a doorknob, while the world is devoid of any interesting events and is as enjoyable to explore as a cat’s litter box. Regardless, here is the complete list of patch notes for update 1.01 for Redfall:
Redfall Update 1.01 Patch Notes
GAMEPLAY
- Fixed an infinite loading screen issue that resulted from suspending and resuming gameplay while Fast Traveling across the map
- Fixed a save system crash that resulted from suspending and resuming gameplay while Fast Traveling across the map
SERVERS
- Updated game server heartbeat logic for improved backend communication with live servers
We can only hope that this update is one of many more to come in the near future. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer said that he was very disappointed with the launch of Redfall but also promised continued support for the game in the future.
