According to the studio itself, Remedy is developing a multiplayer game, an unannounced title, and two expansions for Control.

Despite Control’s disappointing launch in terms of sales, it seems remedy is pretty happy about its post-launch performance in the market. According to Tero Virtala, CEO at Remedy Entertainment, Control’s community keeps growing almost 6 months after its release date and its sales have remained at a good level so far. The studio is currently working on two paid expansions for Control with unknown release dates. Launching the DLCs could help Remedy to get more out of its fans who seeking for more stories and secrets in The Oldest House.

Aside from dropping new content for Control, Remedy also teased its upcoming next-gen projects as well. A team of 20 at the studio is working on the pre-productions process of an unannounced game, which is assumed to be the next major story-driven game from Remedy after Control. After reclaiming the rights for Alan Wake, it’s not surprising to see a sequel to the series bounded with a remastered version of the original game hitting next-gen platforms in the future.

Here is what Remedy Entertainment is working on:

– Two paid expansions for Control in 2020
– CrossFire X single player for 2020 on Xbox One
– An unannounced project set to enter pre-production
– Vanguard: A new live service / multiplayer game.https://t.co/Jyn3ZjZZeF pic.twitter.com/prVmHeicLo

On the other hand, a group of 15 developers is cultivating a multiplayer game codenamed Vanguard, which has been planned to be a long-running multiplayer experience with constant support. The studio’s focus is still on the back-end features that are required for proceeding the development of the multiplayer title. Both Vanguard and the unannounced title will be launching after 2020.

In addition to the projects above, Remedy has also taken the helm for developing the single-player section of SmileGate’s Crossfire X for Xbox One which is expected to be launched sometime this year.

Last year, there were rumors suggesting that Remedy might be acquired by Sony if they couldn’t get enough money from Control, which now seems to be a long-dead rumor.
