You have to keep your wits about yourself and pay careful attention to your surroundings. Keep reading to learn how to reach the village chief’s manor in Resident Evil 4.
How to Reach the Village Chief’s Manor in Resident Evil 4
Now that you’ve made it back to the abandoned factory area and you have the hexagon emblem, it’s time to shove it into the door and unlock it. This can be done by making sure the emblem is in the position with the bird facing right side up, then spin it around so that it will fit into the spot perfectly.
As you approach the next area, there will be a few Ganado patrolling the area. The best way to take care of them is to sneak up behind them and catch them by surprise with stealth attacks.
Now head into the little crawlspace to the left of you to loot the treasures that can be found.
Head back out and up the stairs leading to the next area. You will find yourself in a wooded area with crows everywhere. Shooting the crows allows you to pick up extra loot but be careful as you approach the altar.
Soon, a Chainsaw Ganado will appear and begin to attack you. Use the many traps on the ground to your advantage and lead the enemy into them so that they can slow him down, and you can empty some rounds into him.
Once he’s down for good, look for the well to your left. Shoot the wood holding up the cover, so it falls, then shoot the silver relic hinging overtop in order to knock down and collect the Pearl Pendant to sell later on.
Now, you can head up the path farther and access the Village Chief’s Manor. However, you will find that the front door is locked. Make your way around the back of the manor and head in through the unlocked back door.
As you head inside, there will be a door to your immediate left. Head inside there and kill the only Ganado in the house.
Once he’s taken down, make your way through the house to loot everything that you can. Take note of the locked cabinet at the end of a hallway. We will need to come back to this later on once we find the combination.
Head upstairs and save your game at the Typewriter, which can be found next to a Red Herb on a table at the top of the stairs.
Head into the hallway farther and read the file on the side table. This is Illuminados 4:3, and it will tell you what the combination to the lock downstairs is: Crops, Pig, Babe.
Head back downstairs and input the combination into the locked cabinet and open it to reveal a Crystal Marble. Though, be careful. As soon as you return to the main room, the Ganado you killed earlier will reappear, this time overtaken by the infection.
Now head upstairs and use the Crystal Marble to unlock the Village Chief’s bedroom door. This will take a bit of work, as you have to get all of the dots in the marble to line up with the symbol on the lock by spinning it around and twisting it.
Once you head inside the bedroom, be sure to loot everything aside from the Insignia Key.
Once you pick up the Insignia Key last, a cutscene will begin, and you will be approached by the man you were attacked by at the end of the first Chapter, the Village Chief.
