Resident Evil Village is a game that offers much depth in its various sections and puzzles for you to solve. From the most mundane to the rather complex, there’s plenty for every sort of player out there. As you’re making your way through Moreau’s sector of the game, dealing with a massive fish and all sorts of disgusting growths, you’ll come upon a floodgate which you must open to proceed. After powering it, you’ll have to mess around with some strange colors, which can be surprisingly challenging despite its easy appearance. No need to worry though as, in this guide, we’ll explain exactly how you can complete the floodgate puzzle in Resident Evil Village!
How to Complete the Floodgate Puzzle in Resident Evil Village
For starters, you’re presented with several different squares that have various shades. These need to be colored in a specific sequence, using the picture to the side of you. You’ll notice though that the black square can’t actually be interacted with. This may seem confusing, but you’ll notice that if you look at the piece of paper as if it was rotated counter-clockwise 90 degrees, the puzzle’s solution becomes a lot more clear. In case you’re still having trouble, here’s the solution:
- Top left: Blue
- Top middle: White
- Top right: Orange
- Center left: White
- Center middle: Orange
- Center right: Black
- Bottom left: Orange
- Bottom middle: Blue
- Bottom right: Blue
Once that’s done, the floodgates should open and you’ll be ready to proceed through the underwater entrance Moreau was talking about. Keep in mind though that you’ll want a good supply of ammo. We won’t spoil why though.
