Resident Evil Village gets a new demo tomorrow and you’ll get to play it on your favorite PlayStation console! Tsuyoshi Kanda, Resident Evil Village Producer went to the PlayStation Blog to break the news.

Looks awesome right? Kanda thinks so as well as he wholeheartedly recommends you watch the trailer to prep yourselves for this weekend’s scary adventure.

Kanda also drew our attention when it comes to some of the advantages of playing on PlayStation 5:

On PS5, you’ll have an extra level of immersion as you walk through the environments with 3D audio surrounding them, high-fidelity graphics using ray tracing, and adaptive triggers to help you feel the extra weight of the weapons as well.”

But if you’re like me, you might be wondering about the quality your PlayStation 4 will be able to pull. Have no fear! Kanda’s here!

PlayStation 4 players will feel the same thrill as they journey through the village. We’ve worked hard to make sure that the next evolution in survival horror is just as terrifying and immersive on PS4 as it is on PS5.”

So you better be sure that the Resident Evil Village demo will be looking smashing no matter the platform you’re experiencing it on.

Prepare to enter Castle Dimitrescu with a remixed #REVillage trailer (featuring @Giveon)

The 30min Castle Demo hits PS4 and PS5 tomorrow. Details from Capcom: https://t.co/8rCoTaRdJ8

The PlayStation blog post also goes on to explain how the team learned a lot while making Resident Evil VII and while they were focusing on bringing us a terrifying “claustrophobic” experience back then, they have mastered the art of that kind of fear and are looking to bring in some variety with Castle Dimitrescu. This weekend, we’ll get to see exactly that. Beautiful interiors of the castle and some of the more terrifying encounters from the game. Feel free to read Kanda’s entire blog post here.

We’re in for a treat this weekend. But in case you somehow miss it this time around, the demo will be available again on May 1. The demo starts on April 24 at 05:00 PM PT in the US and April 25 at 06:00 PM BST in the EU.

Excited about the demo? Will you be playing this weekend? Excited about Resident Evil Village coming out? We know you are. But let us know why in the comments below anyway.

In other news, Radio Viscera blasts onto Steam this year and, this Cyberpunk Noir experience dubbed Silicon Dreams is on Steam already!
