Deck13 and Monolith of Minds have announced that Resolutiion, their upcoming action-adventure game, is releasing on May 28th. To go with this, the game is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch on the same day. The two brothers of the development team have been developing the game for quite some time now, and are excited to be so close to its release. So excited in fact, that there is a new trailer to show off gameplay and announce the release date.
Resolutiion puts you in the shoes of Valor, an old killer in control of a curious AI. The world you once knew has been fractured, leaving behind memories of the past and hostiles in your way. Thankfully, this is no match for the curious AI as their arsenal of weapons and abilities will surely make them quick work. This sprawling cyberpunk world leaves a lot to be discovered with some beautiful setpieces. Resolutiion all together promises to be an enticing experience, filled with colorful slaughter and lots of charm.
The previews of the game seem to be showing off that promise. The art direction reminds me of similar pixel art games like Hyper Light Drifter and Fez, which I consider to be some of the best pixel art games out there. The gameplay looks fast-paced and frantic too, which is a huge plus in my book. If you’re a fan of games that reward quick thinking and execution, this is one you won’t want to miss. The game is coming to two major platforms so many players will be able to get their hands on it.
Resolutiion may not grace us for another few weeks, but you can catch a glimpse of the game already. There’s a demo available on Steam, allowing you to get a taste of the carnage before you buy. This is one we’ll be keeping an eye on, as there’s a lot of passion and charm already.
