46 Emmy nominations and six seasons of a TV show together, and Vince Gilligan and Rhea Seehorn will reunite for an Apple TV series, as reported by Deadline. The creator of Breaking Bad and co-creator of Better Call Saul landed a huge deal with the streamer for a two-season straight-to-series order.

It was not long ago when the report landed that Vince Gilligan was hunting for a home for his next series after Saul concluded after six seasons. It will divert from the world of drug cartels and blue meth but be a genre cocktail that will deliver his sense of drama and humor. Rhea Seehorn will lead in the untitled series.

Now that the cat was out of the bag, some reactions have come up on Twitter. For one, Rhea Seehorn opened up on Twitter about the Apple series with Vince Gilligan. She wrote that she was “over the moon” and her “heart was exploding!” Her co-star in Saul, Bob Odenkirk, also came up on Twitter to share the news as he wrote, “this is gonna be so great” and “all the best people!”

No details are known about the exact plot or characters, but from a major supporting role in Saul, this is quite the promotion for Rhea Seehorn in her partnership with Vince Gilligan to make this series. The creator will serve as the executive producer and writer. Jeff Frost and Diane Mercer will executive produce, too, while Jenn Caroll will produce.

The deal for the series with Apple came down to a bidding war at the feet of Vince Gilligan. It was said that eight to nine networks and streaming platforms were trying to sign a deal for the next hit from the Breaking Bad mastermind. In the report from Deadline, bids for the show’s budget were between $13-15 million.
