The former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak Biermann came to the defense of her 20-year-old daughter, Ariana Biermann following her recent arrest on August 13, 2022. The concerned mother took to social media to address the issues surrounding the arrest in a lengthy post.
What Did Kim Zolciak Biermann Have To Say About Her Daughter’s Arrest?
Per Us Weekly, the 44-year-old took to Instagram to address the incident regarding her daughter’s recent arrest. She wrote on her Instagram story on August 16, which was a few days after Ariana was arrested.
“Ariana was involved in a minor fender bender. When police arrived on the scene, the investigation officer immediately initiated an investigation for DUI of alcohol.”
She stated that after the investigation and Ariana being upset and anxious from the accident, “the officer incorrectly concluded she was impaired.” Kim stated that her daughter was “not impaired by any substance including alcohol or marijuana”.
The police report states that the officer claimed Ariana did not look sober when he got to the scene, as he “could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath.” Ariana then reportedly stated the odor was probably from her clothing. After conducting a field sobriety evaluation, he “observed signs of impairment”. A fellow officer also conducted a Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test and he “observed four out of six clues”.
What Did Ariana’s Lawyer Have To Say?
According to E!, Ariana was charged in Forsyth County, Ga. with driving under the influence of alcohol, underage possession, purchase of alcohol and misdemeanor improper, and erratic lane change. She was later released on a bail fot $5,120. Ariana’s attorney, Justin Spizman said in a statement:
“We deny she was impaired by any substance at all. She wholly denies these allegations and intends to fight these charges because she is not guilty of them.”
Ariana was first introduced to Bravo fans in 2008 in RHOA beside her mum and sister, Brielle Biermann. Kim Zolciak left the show in 2012 but returned in 2016 as a guest and later as a “friend.”
