Heather Gay and Jen Shah were The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City ride-or-die pals. However, in the wake of Jen’s guilty plea, RHOSLC’s Heather Gay is reassessing her friendship with her buddy. Get the full details below.
Heather Gay And Jen Shah’s Friendship Changed After Guilty Plea
Heather Gay and Jen Shah are no longer best friends following the latter reality star’s conviction for wire fraud.
RHOSLC’s Heather Gay supported Jen throughout Season 3 of RHOSLC. However, the TV personality said, “everything changed for me when she pled guilty.”
Heather told Us Weekly on Monday that she got tagged as ride-or-die because Jen kept insisting on her innocence to her.
The Bravolebrity explained that she is now focused on helping the victims as well as Jen’s family. She also mentioned her intentions to soften the impact of her friend’s crime while also hoping that everyone finds healing.
Although Jen didn’t show up for the recent RHOSLC reunion, her co-stars didn’t hesitate to discuss her legal woes.
The reality stars also discussed how Jen and her husband, Sharrieff asked some of their friends for financial help. The couple reportedly needed help to pay off their growing legal fees.
RHOSLC’s Heather Gay claimed she didn’t give money but revealed that a “friend of” the cast Angie Harrington “gave [the Shahs] money.”
Jen Shah’s Guilty Plea Shocked Her Friends
Jen maintained her innocence up until July 2022 to friends and before the cameras. The Bravo star shocked the world and her closest friends when she pleaded guilty before the case went to trial.
She was later sentenced to six-and-a-half years behind bars this year for orchestrating a nationwide telemarketing scheme, predominantly targeting the elderly.
The convicted marketing pro is expected to report to jail on February 17 to start her prison sentence.
Although Heather didn’t support the disgraced media personality financially, she isn’t ready to let go of the friendship entirely.
“I think me being mean to her or mad at her is just a virtue signal to the world and doesn’t do anybody good,” she said in the reunion. “And I’m this far down the road with her, I’m not going to drop her now,” she concluded.
Safe to say Heather Gay and Jen Shah will still be friends despite this fiasco. However, from RHOSLC’s Heather Gay’s response, the duo may not be as intimate as they were before.
