Despite the odds, Heather Gay and Jen Shah’s friendship will stand the test of time. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah is set for a potential time in prison after pleading guilty to fraud charges. However, Jen’s likely prison sentence won’t be enough to sever her close bond with her co-star Heather Gay. Heather made this known recently during an interview. Find out all she said below.
Heather Gay And Jen Shah’s Friendship Is Unshakable
During a chat with Page Six, Heather explained that she has previously dealt with having loved ones in jail. Hence, their friendship won’t be affected even if Jen is sentenced to prison. Heather said:
“Listen, I’ve had prison boyfriends before. I know the whole routine! I’m not worried about that. I was born for this.”
Heather Reacts To Jen’s Pending Sentencing
Jen allegedly scammed hundreds of people out of money via a nationwide telemarketing scheme that predominantly targeted older people. After initially pleading not guilty, she pleaded guilty to the charges in July. Jen’s guilty plea shocked Heather and Meredith Marks, who spent time with her in New York before she appeared for a pre-trial. It also shocked the rest of her RHOSLC co-stars as she previously assured them of her innocence.
Heather explained that it was devastating to talk about the matter. She added that it had been a difficult period before adding:
“But I haven’t really focused on what it’s been like for me because it feels kind of stupid, like, ‘I’m upset.’ What she’s pled to and what she’s facing now and being accountable for it, is much bigger than how I felt reacting to it.”
Heather Will Always Be There For Jen
Following her guilty plea, Jen may face up to 14 years in prison and up to $9.5 million restitution. Her sentencing is scheduled for November 28.
Despite the lengthy prison time Jen could face, Heather maintains she is still her friend and hopeful for her and her family. However, she also said she is devastated for everyone all around.
However, no matter how long Jen’s prison sentence could be, Heather said she would be there for her family. She vowed:
“I would never miss a chance to render service to anyone, but certainly Jen and her family.”
Heather Gay and Jen Shah’s friendship is exemplary and shows that people should be there for each other even in bad times.
