A bizarre clip is going viral on Reddit of a rich guy in Spain getting out of his car to pick a fight with another car. The footage, captured by the “victim” car’s dashcam, shows the irate man repeatedly kicking the bumper of the car. The internet is united in its amusement at the lack of efficacy of the road rage fail.
The video footage reportedly takes place near Marbella in Spain. The beautiful scenery and the cars’ Spanish license plates certainly support that theory.
In the clip, a rich-looking man dressed in shorts and wearing sunglasses emerges from his car and proceeds to kick the car behind. As one Redditor pointed out regarding the bizarre kicks: “That first one really looked like it hurt and his ego wouldn’t allow him to just walk away.” Another quipped that the “dude probably did more damage to his toe.” Indeed, it’s one of the more bizarre road rage fails we’ve seen. Notably, the approach seems more likely to cause injury to the attacker than any notable damage to the car. I particularly like how the rich guy rolls his sleeves up before he gets stuck in. This is a guy who means business… although precisely what business is unclear.
After four less-than-impressive kicks, the attacker obviously feels like the victim has learned his lesson. Presumably, the car is deeply sorry now. At any rate, the guy then gets back into his convertible, nearly losing the driver door in the process.
The bizarre road rage fail has sparked ridicule online, with many less than complimentary about the guy attacking the car. “Some expat […] on the Costa, embarrassing,” one Redditor comments. Another points out how Marbella is plagued by rich guys with delusions of grandeur like this man. “A common sight in my beautiful Costa del Sol… They think they own the place.”
Sadly, we don’t see what happens to the guy after his spectacular road rage fail. I’d like to think he drives himself to the nearest ER to get his foot checked out. At least he gave us a good laugh, though. As one commenter puts it, “In his head, he was doing some really athletic s***”. In reality, it looks like he picks a fight with a car and comes off second-best.
Still, at least we get to marvel at the beauty of the vista in the background while the rich guy embarrasses himself. “Spain looks beautiful,” one Redditor observes. It is, indeed. It’s even worth putting up with the spoilt brats having road rage meltdowns to experience it.
