Rihanna has declared a new fashion trend after failing to achieve her ideal summer body. On Tuesday, the Fenty Beauty mogul showcased her new style and latest summer ensemble on Instagram. Rihanna shared a cheeky clip that featured her rocking a stylish schoolgirl-inspired outfit. The Diamonds hitmaker dazzled in an oversized baby blue button-down shirt, which exposed her black lace bra from her Savage X Fenty lingerie brand. She paired the shirt with a red and brown plaid mini-pleated skirt. Rihanna opted for a micro mini Louis Vuitton tote, a pair of aviator glasses, and two silver diamond necklaces to elevate her chic look.
While the ensemble showed off the singer’s chic style, it appears it wasn’t what Rihanna wanted her fans to focus on. At some point in the video, Rihanna jumped into the air, flashing her black underwear, which also matched her black Fenty X Puma Creeper sneakers. The 36-year-old and the person filming laughed before the latter noted, “That’s a cute bra too, by the way.” In the caption, Rihanna joked that she won’t achieve her summer body until next year. In place of a banging body, Rihanna revealed she was starting a fashion trend as her Summer goal.
“I clearly won’t be achieving my six pack til next summer, I switched my summer goal to matching my shoes to my panties! 🤷🏽♀,” she wrote.
Fans were stunned that Rihanna would show her underwear. However, many focused more on her altered appearance. The music icon sported a new hairstyle that left her almost unrecognizable. Rihanna dyed her hair blonde and swept it over to one side. One side of the singer’s head appeared shaved, while her tresses hung just to the nape of her neck. “Oh this look is GIVING from hair to toe! 😍💖👑,” one person wrote. Another fan commented, “The hair is back.” Meanwhile, a third fan added, “It’s the hair for me.”
Some fans also complimented Rihanna’s outfit, noting they couldn’t wait to recreate the look. Others jokingly asked Rihanna when she would release a new album. Hopefully, it wouldn’t take too long for them to find out.
