The power couple has been facing divorce rumors after eagle-eyed fans discovered the singer hadn’t posted her husband on social media in months. While Simpson has yet to address the speculations, her most recent post suggests that she is finally confirming fans’ worst fears.
On Monday, Simpson blessed her over six million followers with new photos. As expected, the fashion designer was dressed to the nines in a white lace dress with a high slit almost up to her waist. She wore a luxurious black fur jacket and finished off the ensemble with knee-high glossy leather boots. The Dukes of Hazzard star accessorized with a statement black-and-white necklace and gold hoop earrings. As expected, her wedding ring was no where in sight, just a statement gold ring on her right middle finger.
Simpson took the pictures in a cozy room, sitting on an orange chair while striking different seductive poses. In the accompanying caption, she spoke about her return to music and the personal experience that inspired it.
“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
Of course, Simpson’s vague caption sent fans spiraling as they tried to figure out what she meant. “Is this J simp saying she’s single?”one follower wondered. “Sounds like a breakup album to me! It’s always been strange I felt like something was holding you back,” another comment read.

Simpson’s very telling post comes days after she was spotted at LAX without her wedding ring. The Irresistible singer was in the company of a female pal and they stopped in the middle of the airport to take a selfie. Although she decked her fingers in several rings, the 44-year-old intentionally left out her wedding ring.
Before the appearance, sources claimed Simpson is ready for a new chapter in life — one without her husband of ten years. “Lately, Jessica has been reevaluating her happiness, her marriage and her business empire, and she is ready to start fresh,” the insider told Life&Style Magazine. “It’s pretty much over between her and Eric; it’s only a matter of time before she files for divorce.”
The informant added that Simpson and Johnson even tried couple’s therapy but it only worked for a while. “They don’t spend nearly as much time together as they used to, and they’ve just grown apart,” the source explained. The insider further noted that Simpson is looking to rebrand and become more like Kim Kardashian, who put her divorce behind to expand her empire.
