Risk of Rain 2 is definitely not a well-known game by any stretch, but it’s one that I wish was. It’s very fun to go through a run of that game and become extremely powerful with many items. It has a lot of replayability and is even more fun with friends. The game’s been in Early Access for quite some time now, but the game looks to finally be seeing the end of the tunnel. Hopoo Games and Gearbox Publishing are happy to announce that Risk of Rain 2 is going into 1.0 on August 11th. It will be available on Steam, with console versions arriving sometime later.
Risk of Rain 2 1.0 brings a proper ending to the game, unlike the unfinished one currently featured. It’ll feature an entirely new stage, and a new boss to deal with. This will prove to be the hardest challenge Risk of Rain 2 players have encountered yet, and will require some serious coordination to tackle. Those that manage to take it down though will have completed the final piece of the game. Other than a final boss and stage, you can expect to see a new survivor enter the fray, tons of new equipment, items, and much more!
This Risk of Rain 2 update brings the game to a finished state, and I’m excited to see it. If you haven’t played Risk of Rain 2 though, you’re truly missing out. It’s a roguelike third-person shooter (or beat-em-up depending on who you play) which has you traveling through different worlds and taking on a myriad of enemies. Your only goal is to get to the teleporter and charge it to move onto the next section. It’s a simple concept, but it’s assisted by several characters, many modifiers, and more items than I can count. It’s a very enjoyable experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in roguelike titles.
