In Roblox King Legacy, there are a myriad of ways to customize your character, from stats to Devil Fruits and weapons. Creating your very own build is part of the fun, but there’s one aspect that’s left up to chance: your race. You may have started out with bunny ears, in which case you’re an Animal, or wings, which makes you an Angel. These aren’t just cosmetic changes, but provide inherent abilities. Naturally, that means some races in King Legacy will always be ranked higher and favored more by players.

5. Human
Now we’re getting into above-average territory. If you plan on PVPing a lot or you already do plenty of PVP, the last race you want to be is Human. While it does buff damage to both Dragon Claw, Dark Leg Fighting Styles, and Soru, their abilities are too narrow and short-ranged to be of any use in PVP. Don’t get me wrong, they do plenty of damage, but it’s best used for grinding, not PVP.
To unlock Human V2, you’ll need to first head to Floresco Town and speak with Adam, located by the samurai spawn point. Don’t forget you have to be at level 3000!
- When you speak with Adam, he’ll want 1000 Logs, which you get from breaking trees.
- Go to Loaf Island and get a Phoenix’s Tear from Ms. Mother, then give that to Lucas on Fiore.
- Now go destroy Ghost Ships and loot their chests until it says your race is level 5.
Return to Lucas and you’ll unlock Human V2.
4. Fishman
The Fishman race is by no means bad, but it is a lesser version to the Sea Beast (it used to be the other way around). Like the Sea Beast race, you’ll swim faster in water and, when you’ve unlocked Fishman V2, you won’t take any damage from water; in fact, you’ll regenerate. If you’re trying to farm the Sea King (because you can’t get Sea Beast yet), this is a good secondary option.
To get Fishman V2 in King Legacy, you’ll need to first be level 3000. That’s the newest requirement for unlocking V2 races. Secondly, you need the following materials:
- x100 Fresh Fish
- x3 Sea King’s Blood
- x1 Sea King’s Fin
- 2 million Beli
- Demon Trident
Shark Island is a good place to get Fresh Fish. Both Sea King’s Blood and Sea King’s Fin drop from, well, the Sea King himself on the 2nd Sea. Afterwards, speak with Ata at Shred Endangering. She’ll task you with finding Peri on Fiora, who will then ask you to kill the Sea King five time using the Demon Trident.
For the Demon Trident, go back to the First Sea and visit Fishland. Defeat any Seasoned Fishman you see; they have a 5% chance of dropping the Demon Trident.
3. Angel
The Angel race isn’t bad, per se, but not exactly good either. It’s a little more of a situational race and doesn’t quite come online until you’ve unlocked Angel V2. Outside of gliding, its greatest benefit is the extra geppo (an extra jump).
With that said, to make the most of the Angel race, you’re better off using ranged attacks, especially if it’s a Devil Fruit that makes you fly. Using the extra mobility of your gliding and geppo, you can zip around the field and just zone players with ranged attacks. Try using the Light Fruit or Flame Fruit!
To unlock Angel V2 (or Skypiean V2), you need to first be level 3000, then do the following:
- Obtain the Pole weapon, then speak with Sonia on the tallest cliff in Floresco.
- Give Sonia 350 Angellic Feathers, and 3 Lost Rubies.
- Defeat Rumble Man on Sky Island using the Pole until your Sky Race Perception is level 5, then return to Sonia.
Travel to Fiore and speak to Milin. For your efforts, she’ll award you Angel V2.
2. Sea Beast
The Sea Beast race used to be a rather lackluster race in Roblox King Legacy, but has since been given a good deal of love. Now it’s one of the best races in the game, especially for PVE.
You won’t be hurt by water, you’ll swim faster in the sea, and you’ll get a massive damage boost when you fight beasts. Oh, and while you’re in the water, you’ll regenerate health. That kind of combination makes Sea Beast one of the best races to farm Hydra and the Sea King.
Unfortunately, unlocking the Sea Beast race is tedious (Go figure!). First, you’ll need to be at least level 4000. I say this because you need to first farm 100 Sea Artifacts from Deep One Villagers and Deep Divers from The Unearthly and visit The Shallow, both of which are on the Third Sea. You’ll complete a 4×4 puzzle to unlock Sea Beast!
To upgrade it to Sea Beast V2, gather another 50 Sea Artifacts, 25 Corals, 10 Shark Fins, 5 Pearls, and 1 Aqua Gem. Neptunian will gladly level your race up!
1. Animal
With King Legacy being primarily a PVP Roblox game, the best race is instead the Animal. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come online until you’ve unlocked Animal V2 and that’s already a pain to do. Until you’ve unlocked V2, all Animal does is make you run notably faster.
Luckily, if PVP is your bread-and-butter, Animal V2 increases the amount of damage the Electro Fighting Style does, which was already really strong. To further drive the point home, you run even faster and can dash further, making it much easier to catch other players and close the gap.
Unlocking Animal V2 requires a bunch of carrots and half a million Beli. You’ll essentially be a delivery service. Gathe 500,000 Beli and 8,184 carrots. Yes, you read that right. Deliver those carrots to every NPC named “MISC” which you can find on:
- Fiore Island: You’ll find one in town (near the dock), the outer wall of Sky House, and the brown brick home near the dock.
- Tundra Island: Atop the tall building by the dock.
- Shred Endangering: In the brown brick home near the tall tower, just by the dock.
- Loaf Island: On the plateau, by the pick cupcake building.
- Skull Island: Atop the mountain, standing outside the building with purple roofing.
- Soldier Headquarters: Look a lone tree in a somewhat open field, just outside the headquarters.
- Pirate Skull Island: Near the dock. Climb to the top of the buildings with tall towers.
- Starter Island: Inside the prison, at the back of the cell.
Now revisit Fiore Island again and look for the building that’s sinking into the ground. Part of the doorway is still visible. Enter the building and speak to the last “MISC” NPC and they’ll teach you Animal V2.
How to Reroll Your Race in Roblox King Legacy
In King Legacy, you’re never stuck with the race you spawn with; you can change it for a small payment of 35 Gems. King Legacy codes can award these, but so can defeating raid bosses.
No matter what sea you’re on, Hector will also be there. He’s an NPC who will gladly change your race. Look in the starting areas whenever you enter a new sea!
