Just before Mariana’s Veil is revealed in Roblox Fisch, the Ashfall event acts as a sort of precursor to the expansion. You know the volcano at Roslit Bay? It has erupted, filling the island around it with liquid hot magma and causing strange fish to appear. And yes, jumping into the water-lava mix will kill you, so make sure you carefully get off your boat. Naturally, there are new types of creatures to fish for, items, and more in Fisch. So, let’s get started!
How to Start the Volcano Eruption Event in Fisch
Once you’re in, hop into a boat and head straight for Roslit Bay. Be very careful getting off your boat. I was not kidding when I said the water lava was dangerous. To make your life easier, stop by the Beach Keeper to set your spawn point to Roslit Bay, just in case you have an accident.
You can start the event quest with Dr. Finneus. To find him, he’s between the docks and the lighthouse, a little way into the water lava, on a boat with a crane. He’ll explain that the fish act strange, erratic, and appear different.
How to Complete Dr. Finneus’s Quest in Roblox Fisch
Dr. Finneus’s request is simple: catch a fish from the nearby waters. You can actually just toss your line right off the side of his boat, if you want. However, the fish has to be lava-related, like Cinder, Scooty, Ember, Pyro, Lava, Blistered, Molten, and Ashcloud.
Those aren’t mutations, per say, but the fish you reel in will have names like that, such as the Lava Lamprey, Ember Catfish, or Blistered Eel. Also, you do not need any special fishing rod to fish in the magma, like the Magma Rod. Even the Flimsy Rod works, though you won’t get anything worthwhile.
Once you’ve returned the fish to Dr. Finneus, you’ll get the Volcanic Helper title, as well as the Volcanic Research Boat. It’s incredibly fast, hitting a max speed of 135 S/ps and has solid steering. If you’re a beginner fisherman, you should get it ASAP. Lastly, by simply participating in the Ashfall event, you’ll get the Volcanic Explorer title, too.
How to Catch Every Fish in the Ashfall Bestiary in Roblox Fisch
With the Ashfall being a limited event, the fish around Roslit Bay are only going to be there for the duration of the event. To make your life easier, here’s the best way to catch each fish:

Most of the bait can be found in Quality Bait Crates and, in the case of Minnows and Coal, you can get from Coral and Volcanic Geodes. As for the weather, you can either wait or go out and buy Totems to spawn those events. And for fishing rods, I’m only recommending the minimum viable options or else the best fishing rods in Fisch would dominate the charts.
