If you’re still an inexperienced fisherman in Roblox Fisch, there’s a solid fishing rod you can get called the Fungal Rod. It has a really good Luck stat, though not much in terms of Max Kg. However, it makes up for it by having a neat special effect, which grants a Luck buff pretty frequently. It’s a great option if you’re trying to fill the bestiary on rare, low-weight fish. Unlike other fishing rods, the Fungal Rod must be earned in Roblox Fisch.
Where to Start Agaric’s Quest in Roblox Fisch
In order to get the Fungal Rod, you have to start and complete Agaric’s quest in Roblox Fisch, much in the same you would with Orc’s quest for the Magma Rod. So, your first stop is Mushgrove Swamp. Hop into a boat and travel east to find it, past Moosewood.
Travel into Mushgrove Swamp to the cluster of giant mushrooms, more or less in the middle of the island. You’ll find a mushroom creature hanging out underneath one of them, accompanied by a small tent. That’s Agaric. Talk to them to get the quest started.
When you do talk to Agaric, ask them how they’re doing. They’ll tell you they want revenge against the alligators that killed their family. Choose the dialogue option “I will avenge your family” to accept the quest.
How to Complete Agaric’s Quest in Roblox Fisch
Naturally, Agaric wants you to catch an Alligator—just one. Luckily for you, Alligators can be found right there at Mushgrove Swamp. The problem is that they’re Legendary-rarity, so they aren’t exactly easy to catch.
To ensure you have the best conditions, you’ll need one or more of the following items:
- Fish Head bait
- A fishing rod with a high Luck stat
- And a Sundial Totem
Fish Head bait is found in both Bait Crates and Quality Bait Crates, but the latter is better and can be easily farmed with a Magnet Rod. As for fishing rods, try the Carbon Rod if you’re still a new fisherman. It’s cheap (just $2000) and has decent stats across the board.
You also want to get your hands on a Sundial Totem. They’re only $2000 on Sunstone Island. It’s handy for changing the time of day, which you want. In Roblox Fisch, Alligators appear more often at night and during the spring. You can gain a 25% spawn rate increase if you wait until it’s spring (seasons change every 10 hours).
When you do finally catch an Alligator, take it back to Agaric. Make sure you’re holding it before you talk to them. They’ll give you the Fungal Rod in return!
The Fungal Rod Explained
The Fungal Rod isn’t exactly the most powerful rod in Roblox Fisch, but it can be really useful for stacking Luck. But first, here are its stats:
- Lure Speed: -10%
- Luck: 45%
- Control: 0
- Resilience: 0
- Max Kg: 200kg
See? It isn’t winning any ribbons, but it does have a handy effect. Whenever you catch a fish, there is a 70% chance that you’ll gain Luck IV for 45 seconds. That boosts your Luck stat by another 20%. So, without enchants, you could have 65% at minimum.
To make the most of the Fungal Rod in Roblox Fisch, you want a good enchantment, like Quality, which will help round out the rest of its stats and grant more Luck. That’ll make it useful for capturing rare and small fish if you’re trying to complete the bestiary.
