Once you start diving into fishing rod crafting in Roblox Fisch, you’ll immediately hit a roadblock because of Mythical Driftwood. It’s listed as a crafting ingredient for two fishing rods in the game, one of which is really handy for leveling up quickly. But there’s an itty-bitty problem: Getting Mythical Driftwood in Roblox Fisch is a pain in the neck, and it hinges entirely on the lengths you have to go to get it.
How to Get Mythical Driftwood in Roblox Fisch
Long story short, Driftwood can have the Mythical mutation, just like fish, but it’s incredibly rare. Luckily, there is a way to make it increasingly easier. You’ll need one or more of the following items:
- The Mythical Rod, Rapid Rod, or Flimsy Rod
- Magnet bait (optional)
- A lot of Crab Cages
With the Mythical Rod, it grants everything you catch a 30% of being Mythical. Good, right? Well, the problem is it has a moderately high Luck chance and Max Kg ceiling, which means you’re also more likely to catch everything but Driftwood.
As a secondary option, I recommend the Rapid Rod of Flimsy Rod. Both rods have no bonus Luck; in fact the Rapid Rod lowers your luck by 20%. The Flimsy Rod has a Max Kg of 10.4, dramatically reducing the pool of fish you can catch and increasing the odds you’ll get Driftwood.
Regardless of the fishing rod you bring to the table, buying Crab Cages is a necessity. Those are good for catching Driftwood, too. I like dropping 20 Crab Cages at a time into Roslit Bay, around the docks, and alternating between the Rapid Rod and Flimsy Rod. If you’re using the Mythical Rod, be sure to use Magnet bait to help reduce the odds of getting fish.
What you then do is take the Driftwood you reel in and have it appraised at the Appraiser. If you’re lucky, it’ll turn into Mythical Driftwood. However, you have much better odds getting Mythical Driftwood from fishing and the Appraiser during a Mutation Surge, too.
