Getting The Hunt badge in Steep Steps is definitely one of the hardest challenges in Roblox, especially if you don’t have access to the helpful Robux-only features. Dropping your ladder several meters below is incredibly frustrating, not to mention players who intentionally push your ladder (to troll) or push you off ledges. In order to get The Hunt badge in Steeps Steps, you need to collect five artifacts found along your climb.
How to Get The Hunt First Edition Roblox Badge in Steep Steps
To get started, step through the blue portal near the spawn point. That’ll take you straight to The Hunt event in Steep Steps. On the other side, speak to the Metaverse Samurai, next to the unlit brazier. If you don’t speak to him first, you can’t collect the artifacts on your way up the mountain.
Offer to help the Metaverse Samurai find all of the lost artifacts. You can then start climbing the mountain behind him. Oh, and remember: follow the blue braziers. There’s only one path to follow and the braziers will show you the way to each artifact. You can’t miss them!
When you come across these artifacts in Steep Steps, be sure to click (or tap) on them to pick them up:
- Korblox Hammer: Located at an altitude of 19m, by the giant blue spike.
- Korblox Shield: Located at an altitude of 47m. Follow the blue lanterns at altitude 43m to find the shield.
- Korblox Portal Stabilizer: At an altitude of 50m, you’ll find three braziers in a triangle. Next to them is a small break in the mountain, where you’ll find the stabilizer.
- Korblox Helmet: Found at altitude 69m. Look to the right of the torii and you’ll see the helmet next to a blue spike.
- Korblox Lantern: Located at an altitude of 96, just before you reach the peak of the mountain.
With all five Korblox artifacts, return to the Metaverse Samurai and he’ll award you both The Hunt badge for Steep Steps and the Korblox Ladder skin.
Tips and Tricks For Climbing in Steep Steps
As I’ve mentioned before, Steep Steps is an incredibly frustrating Roblox experience. Not only do you have to wrestle with the physics of your ladder, other players can — intentionally or otherwise — make the climbing worse. Here are a few tips:
- Tip #1: If someone offers help, don’t take it. More often than not they’re trolling or will simply take the ladder when you start crossing.
- Tip #2: If your ladder is about to fall while someone is using it, take the ladder. It’s better they fall than you having to climb back up.
- Tip #3: If there are too many players attempting the same climb, wait for them to pass. You and your ladder have collision, which means sometimes another player’s ladder can push yours off the cliff.
- Tip #4: Locking your camera can help you place your ladder against gaps.
- Tip #5: Be cautious. If the ladder’s placement doesn’t look safe, pick it up and try again. This will save you so much time and effort!
It’s best to approach Steep Steps with the mentality of “every man for himself.” I rarely saw players help one another, but if you have a friend you’re more than welcome to bring them along.
