This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you played my eyes deceive on Roblox and saw the ending, you might not understand what happened. There isn’t much explanation and the game ends suddenly. It’s clear that the girl and her father have a different relationship, but there aren’t enough details within the game to confirm any suspicions. What do the nightmares represent and how do they change based on your choices? Let’s break it all down.

My Eyes Deceive Endings Explained

My eyes deceive puts you in the role of a girl who is taking medication under instruction from her father. She has no access to the outside world other than a hatch she uses to speak to her father. When her father is around, she promises to keep taking her medication and always to fear the outside world.

This changes when her father goes missing after two days. While suffering nightmares and feeling she can’t trust her father, the girl considers not taking her medication. Choosing to take medication or lie about taking it has a big impact on the ending you receive.

If you choose to continue taking the medication, the girl will wake up one day and mention that she feels nauseous. Her nightmares will also consist of going down the same basements repeatedly until she wakes up.

Lying about taking the medication gives you a scene where the girl’s father approaches her while she’s pretending to sleep. He’s about to do something but is interrupted by people at the door. In his hurry, he forgets to shut the hatch and the girl takes the chance to go outside. She learns her father has been buying sedatives and he’s been under police investigation for the past few days. The nightmares when you lie consist of undoing chains in a basement.

Ending Interpretations

The good ending suggests that the father was performing horrific acts on the girl while she was asleep. Using the hatch as the girl’s only source of contact with the outside world made her dependent on her father. The sedatives were used to keep the girl unaware of what her father was doing to her as she slept.

The bad ending continues the use of sedatives, implying that the girl continues to be assaulted and is experiencing bad aftereffects. She might be used as a slave or a coping mechanism for a father who is reeling from the loss of his wife. When the father is interrupted in the good ending, he implies other people are coming over as well. Those people may also be involved in assaulting the girl while she’s been using the sedatives.

When the girl manages to escape in the good ending, she doesn’t know what the sun is, implying her education is minimal. Either her father has drugged her frequently and she can’t remember or she’s been denied education to be brainwashed. The girl is able to read but it’s unlikely she went for help as she doesn’t know what her father’s been doing.

Neither ending ends well for the girl, though the good ending has a more positive spin if you assume she found help. The game is no longer on Roblox, but you can find the game on itch.io which is the same as the Roblox version.
