Terminal Escape Room starts off with a bang in Chapter 3, giving you only 15 minutes to solve the puzzle in Roblox as opposed to the 90 minutes given in Chapter 2. Luckily, once you escape the first area, the timer resets, and you can carry on with the rest of the game. Of course, that means walking into even more puzzles, so let’s jump right into Terminal Escape Room: Chapter 3 and be sure to keep up!
Terminal Escape Room Chapter 3: Escaping the Elevator
The premise for the first puzzle is simple: escape the elevator by figuring out the code. Unfortunately, unlike some of the past puzzles in Terminal Escape Room, the code is different for everyone, so you’ll have to decipher it yourself by using the Pigpen Cipher. At the very least, I can show you where to find each number.
Use the hatch above you to reach the top of the elevator, and more importantly, you’ll find the first clue. If you decipher the message, it’ll say, “Count the triangles.” Turn around to see several walls full of shapes. Quite literally, count every triangle you see. For me, I found six, but again, it may be different for you. That’s the first number!
Go back into the elevator and take a look at the “How to read Braille” poster. Above that poster, you’ll see a series of lights positioned into various combinations.
Only one of the combos will match a Braille letter. Match it with the poster, and you’ll get your second number. For me, it was nine. If you’re having trouble, just examine the last combination for the number.
Your third number is found by examining the white and tan panels along the bottom of the elevator. You only need to examine the pattern on one wall; the pattern simply repeats on the other walls.
Now examine the “Iguana Identification” poster and find the tail stripe that matches the pattern of the panels, from top to bottom. Oh, and every tan panel counts as a stripe. In my case, my iguana was number one.
The last and final number is found by examining the stripes on the ground. Take a look at how it’s segmented into squares, getting smaller and smaller. You’ll also notice that some are colored bright red, while others are more of a maroon, creating a pattern similar to the previous puzzle.

You have to add up your square, which corresponds to the red squares on the ground. For example, if the outer edge is red, then you get one point. If the center is red, then that’s eight points. Count up your score, and you’ll have your fourth and final number, after which you can escape the elevator.
Terminal Escape Room Chapter 3: Paint By Numbers
Let’s start with the paint-by-numbers puzzle, but first, you’ll need to collect every paint can in order to actually paint the wall:
- In the paint-by-numbers room, the black paint is on the ground.
- Open the safe in the storage room using the code 6824 for the blue paint as well as the coin.
- The green paint is by the elevator doors.
- Purple and orange paints are in the storage room, too.
- Red and white paints are in the arcade room.
- Yellow paint is in the small office room.
Now, the key for each color is plastered on the walls around the various rooms. However, let’s make it a little easier: red is 8, orange is 5, yellow is 2, green is 7, blue is 1, purple is 3, white is 4, and black is 6. Once the painting is complete, you’ll notice you still have some paint for most of the colors, along with a measurement in millimeters.
If you read the “All finished painting?” poster nearby, some of the words will appear misspelled, weaving a color into the spelling: purple, orange, blue, and red. In that order, read the remaining amount of paint and you’ll have the code for the safe behind you. Use the panel right next to it and punch in the code 5431. Take the coin and the key inside the chest and let’s move on!
Terminal Escape Room Chapter 3: Arcade Room Puzzle Solution
You already have two coins, one from the safe and the other from the chest in the paints by number room. There’s another one on top of the arcade game Orange Juice Tycoon, so that’s three. You just need one more, and that involves first solving the riddle in the office.
On the wall of the office is a framed newspaper, as well as a safe below. Beside the framed newspaper are a series of blank frames that you need to fill with eight notes to uncover the code to the safe:
- There’s a note behind the fern, next to the elevator.
- Under the table with the poster of artificial intelligence.
- In the paint-by-numbers room, on the easel, as well as in the chest.
- On the side of the safe, in the storage room, as well as inside.
- On the side of the arcade game The Grass is Always Greener.
- On the side of the aquarium.
Step back from the frames and look to your right to find a newspaper on the ground. Some of the words have been underlined: plus, square, triangle, and minus. It just so happens you have notes with those very symbols.
Now, if you examine each note in that order, starting with the “plus” note, it’ll read: The number of yellow paint squares. Sounds like a clue to me, and it is! If you do that, you’ll get seven. Follow through with the rest of the notes, and you’ll get the code: 7083. Unlock the safe, and the key and coin inside are yours!
Take the coins and slot them into each working arcade cabinet to receive a series of tickets: 5, 10, 15, and 100. If you look at the prize board, some of the prizes have capital letters. Mark down the capital letters from the prizes for 5, 10, 15, and 100 tickets, and you’ll get the word “chains.”
Step up to the cash register and type in “chains” to open it. Inside is a key, the fourth and final key you need to unlock the last puzzle in Roblox Terminal Escape Room: Chapter 3.
Terminal Escape Room Chapter 3: Escaping the Nursery
This next puzzle is a little weird since it has you using perspective to decipher clues. First, a few points of interest: the red blocks, ABC blocks, and posters. If you view the red blocks from above, they create a number and you’ll need the four correct numbers for the code in the scaffolding above.
However, to figure out which four numbers are the correct ones, you have to examine the ABC blocks. Each tower spells a word: ocean, planet, space, and cloud. It just so happens there are posters associated with each of those words plastered onto four separate red block designs. And when you stand over them, you get the code 0743.
Punch that code into the terminal overhead, and you’ll have finished chapter 3 of Terminal Escape Room!
