Get ready to loot and screw over your pals! The first multiplayer shooter from Rooster Teeth Games, Vicious Circle, is available now on Steam, and it will change everything you know about team shooters.

Vicious Circle Launch Trailer

Where other multiplayer shooter games encourage players to work as a team to complete the objective, Vicious Circle encourages the opposite. Each round consists of four different mercenaries fighting for survival against one huge monster. According to Rooster Teeth’s site:

Gameplay is fast and frenetic with an emphasis on thwarting other players with dirty tricks at every turn. Be a mercenary and compete for loot, or take on the role of a massive monster and try to kill everything in your path. The first player to collect the biggest haul and reach the evac zone wins. Each player has an opportunity to play both monster and merc. Sessions are fast and there are many ways to win, but players would be wise to remember that what goes around, comes around.

Vicious Circle is made for groups of five players who favor quick, competitive rounds of gameplay set in a “colorful yet gritty sci-fi universe”. There are four different mercenaries (voiced by Geoff Ramsey and other Rooster Teeth personalities) with different appeals and abilities. In the coming months, players can expect Vicious Circle to gain “new mercs, monsters, maps, modes, gadgets, skins, events and more with free Seasonal Battle Passes.”.

Vicious Circle

Vicious Circle is available now on Steam for $19.99. If you’re hoping to see a little of the game first, Rooster Teeth is currently streaming Vicious Circle on their Let’s Play YouTube channel!
