The Rooster Teeth Let’s Play channel has come a long way since officially becoming its own extended brand within the company, adding multiple different gaming companies in that time to create a connected network. Now, it has been announced those groups will collaborate every live Tuesday to do video game-based battles on a show called Tuesday Night Game Fights.
The roster will be made up of eight groups, each spanning from the Let’s Play and Rooster Teeth families. Two community members will also represent each individual team, every week.
Matches will be structured as 2 v 2, with the winner earning points that go toward an overall league score. There will be two matches every Tuesday, with matchups and members changing each week.

Just like with any sports or any other competitive league, Tuesday Night Game Fights will have playoffs and championships to determine a winner at the end. The show is already drawing a lot of comparisons to another big game show production put on by the company in the past, The Gauntlet.
The newest production promises to be even bigger though big, as it will be the biggest show Rooster Teeth’s Broadcast department has ever put on. There will also be a live studio audience – no word on whether it’s open to the public – of 30 people, more than double On the Spot’s audience.
It wouldn’t be a Rooster Teeth production if there wasn’t an absurd twist though. Each game, the team’s coach can trigger a distraction. These inconveniences are game handicaps that last for 60 seconds, or can also be objects thrown at the competitors.
Known Rooster Teeth personalities Tyler Coe and Joel Heyman – the voice of Caboose in Red Vs Blue – are set to host the new show as well.
Tuesday Night Game Fights has been in development since January 2017. Confirmed groups include Funhaus, ScrewAttack/GameAttack, Kinda Funny, and Cow Chop. One of Roosterteeth’s newest additions, Sugar Pine 7, will also compete, though there is no word on whether the most recent acquisition, Criken, will play in the events.
The event begins live Tuesday, July 18th at 5 CT.For more information, be sure to check back to the site for more updates, as well as all of your other Nerdy News and Needs!
