Elden Ring, the highly anticipated action-RPG from From Software, may release as early as June of 2020. The news was first heard of through a Target listing back in September, but the rumor didn’t hold much weight to it. As of today, though, the release timeframe has shown up on From Software’s Japanese website. This doesn’t confirm it, but it does give a lot more weight to it. If it does release in June of 2020, it will be only just more than a year since their previous title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice released.

The Japanese website is, for the most part, pretty standard. They talk about a card that you can order, which will be sent by email for news years. You can choose it to be either Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Metal Wolf Chaos XD, or, most surprisingly, Elden Ring related. It says specifically after that that Elden Ring is planned for a June 2020 release timeframe. This is huge, with that meaning Elden Ring is only six months away. You can also get the greeting card here if you so choose.

Considering all we’ve been shown of the game is a teaser released with E3 2019, it’s a little hard to believe the release timeframe. You should take it with a grain of salt, as it could be changed. Time will tell, though, whether this rumor is true or not. Never heard of Elden Ring, though? It’s an upcoming action role-playing game being developed by From Software. It’s a project initially created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin, known for creating the Souls games and Game of Thrones book series respectfully. The game will have a dark fantasy theme and is promised to be an evolution of what the Souls games offered. There is no official release timeframe, but the rumor above points to June 2020. The game will release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a possibility of it being on next-gen consoles.

As always, this isn’t the only gaming news we’ve gotten recently. Just yesterday, Untitled Goose Game reached one million copies sold, which is a huge feat for an indie title. SUPERHOT VR hit a similar milestone a few days ago, with a total gross revenue of $2 million.
