These games bring a lot of success and given their live service nature, the income keeps coming for companies. It would seem that Ubisoft could be trying that with one of its most profitable and beloved franchises. There are some rumors that say the company is working on a standalone multiplayer Far Cry game. This doesn’t seem too crazy, given the theme of the franchise. Yet, the same rumors say that the company is also working on the seventh entry. So, it seems there’s stuff for both single-player and multiplayer enjoyers.
The rumored Far Cry multiplayer game could be a standalone title
Far Cry is a great franchise that boasts some of the most iconic villains in video games. Many famous actors have made their way to play parts in this series of games. Now, we don’t know if the rumored multiplayer Far Cry game will have a villain like previous titles. Most people imagine it’ll be a battle royale type of game, given the theme of the franchise and the gameplay elements.

However, it is important to always keep expectations in check and treat rumors as such. There is no official confirmation of a multiplayer Far Cry game right now, and it could be a while until we get any news. Ubisoft has had a rough beginning of 2023 with Skull and Bones being delayed and many titles getting canceled. We have no idea what’s going on inside the company, but we hope it manages to put out some good games this year. Assassin’s Creed Mirage might be coming soon, and Ubisoft has huge plans for this franchise. All that remains is waiting for announcements and a comeback from this company.
