One of the upcoming Xbox exclusives, Indiana Jones & the Great Circle, is said to be coming to Sony’s PS5 as well at launch. Earlier this month we learned that older Xbox exclusives are going multiplatform. This included titles like 2023’s sleeper hit Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves. Rumors also suggest that these games won’t just be going to PS5, but the Nintendo Switch as well. This was corroborated when t-shirt designs were leaked that showed Hi-Fi Rush on the Nintendo Switch and the PS5. This initially seemed as though Microsoft had opted for Sony’s strategy and was porting older releases to other platforms.
But that may not be the case, as XboxEra confirmed that the Xbox headliner Starfield is also coming to PS5 after the Shattered Space expansion’s release. Starfield is one of the biggest titles under Microsoft’s umbrella and it getting ported so soon is quite alarming regarding Microsoft’s future plans for Xbox.
Indiana Jones & the Great Circle Along With Other Xbox Exclusives Being Ported To PS5 & Switch
According to certain sources, Bethesda is aiming for a December launch for Indiana Jones & the Great Circle on PC and Xbox Series S|X, but if the game is also being developed for the PS5, that release should be around that time as well. Another important fact is that Indiana Jones & the Great Circle was initially going to be a multiplatform title. But since Microsoft acquired ZeniMax and Bethesda, the game was going to become an Xbox exclusive.
According to XboxEra, even Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 might also be a multiplatform title. It is probably the most anticipated game from Team Green, and the game being ported to PS5 shows a lack of confidence on Microsoft’s part. If more and more games continue to get ported to PS5 and PC, there will be no point in owning an Xbox console other than Game Pass.
