As if the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder wasn’t wonderful enough, the upcoming MCU movie has added Russell Crowe. Rumors of Crow’s involvement have been circulating for a few weeks now — the actor was seen hanging out with some cast members in Australia. Thankfully, this was no coincidence since Deadline confirmed his involvement in a recent report. However, his actual role is currently kept under lock and key. Could it just be a cameo? Or will he have a more significant role?

Crowe joins an already stellar cast of actors. Some stars include Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), and Christian Bale. Also, Matt Damon confirmed to reprise his cameo from Thor: Ragnarok. Directed by Taika Waititi, the upcoming MCU flick will aim to take audiences back to the fun and whimsical world he created in Ragnarok. The plot of Love and Thunder is largely a mystery. It will pick up soon after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Apparently, it will adapt the Mighty Thor comics written by Jason Aaron. In the comics, Jane Foster’s mortal form is dying from cancer, but she also has the ability to transform into Thor. Moreover, as well as Chris Pratt, several other actors from the Guardians of the Galaxy are said to appear in this movie, including Dave Bautista and Sean Gunn.
There is no trailer as of yet, although filming has commenced. In the meantime, MCU fans can enjoy the slate of streaming content. Disney Plus recently finished airing WandaVision. Now, the TV shows continue with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Later in the year, we’ll see Loki and Ms. Marvel air. Clearly, Marvel Studios have enough content planned to keep us engaged until Thor 4 premieres!
