As a newcomer to Rust, finding weapons can be extremely challenging. However, if you know where to find one, you can easily find a gun in Rust. In this Rust guide, we will talk about the best ways to find guns. Since Rust is a sandbox game, there are multiple ways to get guns, just like other resources and items. You cannot defend yourself and your base if you don’t have a gun. You will be vulnerable. So get yourself a weapon as soon as possible. Without further ado, here is how to get a gun in Rust.

How to Get Guns from Monuments

Solving monument puzzles is one of Rust’s best ways to get components and weapons. These puzzles are made with certain Keycards and contain Basic Crates, Military Crates, and Elite Loot Crates.

Depending on the Tier of the monument you complete the puzzle, the values of the items you will find will also change. For example, with Red Keycards, you can complete monuments such as the Military Tunnel, Launch Site, Oil Rig, and Underwater Labs, which give extremely rare loot.

How to Get Guns from Underground Tunnel

Underground Tunnels is a great place to acquire components and weapons in the game’s early stages. You can get a lot of components by killing NPCs and looting the area, and you can get weapons from crates.

You can also travel through the Underground Tunnels on trains and loot the train stops. After farming for a certain period, we recommend you go to the Outpost. When you get to the Outpost, you will have a lot of components, which you can recycle to get a lot of Scraps. And you can use these Scraps to research new weapons.

How to Get a Gun from Airdrop in Rust

In Rust, the game sends Airdrops at certain intervals. The items from these Airdrops are extremely worthless for progressed players, so they don’t loot them unless Airdrops land too close to their bases or they want to PvP.

In this case, especially if it has been a few days since the wipe, there will be few or no people coming to the Airdrop. Therefore, getting a gun in Rust is worth trying your luck.

How to Get a Gun from Research Tree

In Rust, researching weapons from the research tree is one of the safest ways to get weapons in the game. You will need a lot of scraps to implement this method, so you need to know the best ways to get Scrap in Rust. In this method, collect as much Scrap as possible and get a Workbench according to the weapon you want. For example, Revolver Tier 1, Semi-Automatic Rifle, and Thompson belong to Tier 2 Workbench.

Then learn everything, all the way to the gun. When you finally learn the weapon, you can craft this weapon as long as you have enough materials from your Workbench.

How to Get Gun by Trading with Other Players in Rust

If it’s been a few days since the server reset, many players who are progressing in the game will have set up shop in their bases with a Vending Machine. In these shops, they demand other items in exchange for certain items.

If you see a gun you want from these shops and the resource demanded by the other side makes sense to you, you can buy it from Outpost or Bandit Camp. All you need to do is go to one of these two Safe Zones, find the Drone Station, and order it.

Now you know the best way to find a gun in Rust. Good luck.

Rust is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
