Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan play love interests in the singer’s new “Please Please Please” music video. The four-minute visual, which plays out like a mini-action movie, has the real-life couple channeling Bonnie and Clyde as they get into mischief together. Although Carpenter wants Keoghan to ditch his criminal ways, she can’t help but join him on his jobs for the sake of love.
The video begins with Carpenter being released from jail. After grabbing her belongings, the star locks eyes with another inmate (Keoghan) as he’s being dragged away in handcuffs. Following their encounter, Carpenter begins visiting Keoghan in prison and quickly falls in love with him. Once he’s free, Carpenter and Keoghan try to start a new life together free of crime. However, Keoghan can’t seem to shake his troubled past.
Despite knowing he’s bad for her, Carpenter stays by Keoghan’s side and becomes his accomplice. As she watches him get into fights and rob a bank, she pleads:
Please, pleasе, please, don’t bring me to tеars when I just did my makeup so nice. Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another. I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherf*cker.

Still, Carpenter can’t help but be enamored by Keoghan. At one point, the Saltburn actor nuzzles his head into the singer’s chest as they sit on top of her car. She returns his affection by comforting him after he’s left bruised from a fight.
Carpenter eventually comes to her senses once Keoghan has several more stints in jail. After realizing he’ll never change, she decides to break up with him in the most dramatic way possible. She takes Keoghan to an abandoned warehouse, where she handcuffs him to a chair and tapes his mouth shut. Carpenter then gives him one final kiss before leaving him behind for good.
