Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega are out for blood in the singer’s new “Taste” music video. The three-minute-long clip plays out like a horror movie as the two women plot to kill each other. Why? Well, Carpenter isn’t exactly thrilled her ex-boyfriend is seeing someone new. Meanwhile, Ortega desperately tries to stop Carpenter from getting between her and her man. Despite the pair’s blatant hatred for one another, Carpenter and Ortega lock lips.
Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega Kiss Takes Fans By Surprise
Fans went wild over the “Taste” music video. One person commented that seeing Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega kiss was “something we never knew we needed.” Meanwhile, another fan called it “iconic” that the pair started as enemies but ended the video as friends.
The “Taste” music video begins with Carpenter breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s house. She goes into his room and thinks she caught him sleeping beside his new girlfriend. However, when she tries to kill the girl (Ortega), Carpenter realizes she’s been tricked. As it turns out, Ortega was already awake and waiting to take out Carpenter with a shotgun.
Throughout the video, Carpenter and Ortega play a game of cat and mouse as they try to torment each other in the goriest way possible. At one point, Carpenter distracts Ortega by kissing her. The Wednesday actress is initially caught off guard but then tries to use the opportunity to kill Carpenter with a chainsaw. After successfully impaling the singer, Ortega thinks she finally won. However, it turns out she accidentally killed her boyfriend instead.
The video ends with Carpenter and Ortega attending the guy’s funeral. After exchanging smiles, the two leave the event early and bond over their experience dating the same guy.
