Salma Hayek fell under fire ahead of the weekend as her Instagram-posted photos sparked criticism. The actress, 58, slipped her curves into a chic black minidress and statement boots, dolling herself up for her Jimmy Fallon appearance and seemingly getting everyone talking.
While fans on Instagram left Salma over 250,000 likes, those on The Daily Mail threw shade. Here, users alleged that the House of Gucci star has had extensive cosmetic work done on her face, although others targeted her wardrobe. When one fan said it was “sad” that Salma was still dressing like someone 30 years her junior, others agreed. While a leggy minidress is nothing new for Salma, her grunge-infused platform boots took her away from her usual classic style.

Opening her gallery backstage and near recording equipment, Salma struck a pose with a mic stand.
Displaying her hourglass silhouette while flashing her toned legs, the Mexico native rocked a stylish, thigh-grazing dress in black, covering up her famous curves while donning sheer black stockings. Adding a leather pair of knee boots in black, Salma upped the ante with a platform heel, going punk rocker style as she channeled the finish these days seen on reality star Kourtney Kardashian.
Also sharing her show entrance as she waved at the cameras, Salma included a photo with talk show king Jimmy, who braved posing with a live snake wrapped around his neck. In a caption, the MCU star wrote: “Just another night with @jimmyfallon on @FallonTonight… Here’s to handling surprises & improvising like a pro 🐍 #FallonTonight.”

Salma has been making headlines for embracing her age. In recent weeks, the star has shown off her white hairs on social media, also making the news for celebrating her 58th birthday back in September. When she turned 50, Salma confirmed that she was refusing to dye her hair or use Botox, per her Holmes Place reveal, although clearly fans seeing these photos thought otherwise.
“Look at her hands, then look at her face and tell me she hasn’t had work done. of course, she’ll tell you she didn’t,” a further fan said.
Salma has also been proving that age isn’t stopping her fame from growing. Last month, she posted on Instagram to announce covers with both Elle Mexico and WSJ magazine.
