Getting a ring stuck on your finger has to be one of the most uncomfortable experiences ever. Not only is your finger completely in pain, but the swelling makes it so you can’t remove the cause of the pain in the first place. One husband from San Diego, California knew exactly what to do when this happened to his wife, and he headed straight to their closest fire station.
The video was posted on the TikTok account @johunna_ and features Joanna and her friends gathering in her kitchen to check out her swollen ring finger. They do attempt to try and remove the ring using different methods, such as lubricating the finger and using a string. Immediately after assessing that they need to get outside help, they all put on their house shoes and head over to their local San Diego fire station.
I’ve always known fire stations to be helpful in cases such as needing a free blood pressure screening or, you know, if your house is on fire. However, I don’t think I would have thought of going to one to remove a stuck ring. However, once Joanna and her friends arrived at the station, the firefighters were ready to help out.
It’s very clear that the firefighters were either asleep or relaxing, as they were dressed in very casual clothing that commentators absolutely took note of, with the top comment saying, “Not them in their house slippers 🤭.” What’s even funnier is that after several firemen attempted to try and remove the ring, using various tools, it was finally a woman who came to the rescue. Joanna’s friends definitely found this funny too, as the camera pans over to them laughing at the entire situation.
Commentators also found this bit hilarious, with other top comments saying, “Of course a women had to step in 👑 💖👏,” and ,”the girl firefighteeeer😌.” More than anything, I’m glad that she was able to have it removed without issue, because her finger looked really, really red. The comments were also filled with women who had similar things happen with their rings, giving advice to prevent the same thing from happening to others.
At the end of the day, I now know exactly where I am going to go if I ever get my head stuck somewhere, if I need to check my blood pressure, and now, if I need to have a ring cut from my finger.
